i'm Claire, the person behind happinesshealthyoga.

i'm a yoga teacher, practicing and 
teaching in the beautiful New Forest 
in Hampshire.

 

8 years ago I moved from London where, for 30 years I built a home and work life, but not a work / life balance. 
Travelling the world, spending weeks 
living out of suitcase, I realised as a big birthday approached I needed to change how and where I continued to live my life.

 

the search was on for a new home. 

 

a friend suggested Lymington and the New Forest. I visited for a week one dark and rainy December and I was smitten. 
6 months later I'd sold up and moved here. I knew no-one, not a soul but what I did know was that if I found a yoga studio I'd find a community I could connect with.

 

i've been practicing for 20 years and I've always tried to fit yoga into my 
schedule but always fell shorter than 
I'd like.

 

i found a teacher and a community pretty quickly and decided to take my 200H TT, that was 6 years ago and I haven't looked back since. 

 

being a student for so long has taught me so many great things I now take into my teaching practice. 

 

guiding with alignment & holding a safe space, allowing you to deepen your

practice through both strength and release.

 

showing up exactly as you are and 

leaving with a smile.

 

the natural world is also a great love in my life.

 

i share it with two beautiful dogs who love walking in the Forest and on the beach, in all weathers. 

 

lazy summer days at my beach hut, a very, very quick dip in the sea or sweating it out in the local beach side saunas all 
connect me to the natural world in a way I couldn't live without.

 

i'm always looking for ways to improve how I live, not just in the physical sense but emotionally, mentally and energetically.

 

so I'll share recipes and ideas I've found and loved and anything else I think will help every body and every being find contentment, joy and a smile.
